Broward County Dental Association is a recognized Continuing Education (CE) provider by the Florida Board of Dentistry.

The Broward County Dental Association provides CE credit to those attending sponsored courses thought to be eligible for credit for re-licensure in Florida. Florida licensed dentists and hygienists must report their continuing education credits to the Florida Board of Dentistry, as well as any other organization they report their continuing education credits to.

By law, Florida dentists need 30 hours of Board of Dentistry approved CE during each biennium. The following is mandatory:

• Medical Error: 2 Hours - Required every biennium.  
• Domestic Violence: Only required to be taken every 3rd Biennium. (Once every 6 years)                                              
• CPR: Renewed every 2 years.

HIV/Aids: Is required for initial license and must be completed no later than the FIRST time your license is up for renewal. Once you have taken this course, you will not need to take it again.
